Falmouth is a busy working port with deep water berths, cranes and a full range of equipment capable of handling bulk, break bulk and containerised cargoes.  Located within the docks are over 30 companies, which provide a full range of services including stevedoring, towage, bunkering, ship’s agency, port health, diving services, local surveyors, chandlery and boat services. The Port also has many cruise calls with over 20,000+  passengers annually, who see Falmouth as the gateway to Cornwall and its beautiful attractions and scenery.

UNIVERSAL MARINA is developing the marina services and  business units over the next 18 months.  We are involved in their vision of the future to encourage people on to the water  and are continuing to provide bespoke courses at the marina.
 
KTY YACHTS is also running RYA/ISAF Sea Survival  courses in association with VORTEC MARINE LTD at Universal Marina

At K.T.Y. Yachts we pride ourselves on our very high standard of courses with the emphasis on practical experience. All our trainers have a lifetime's experience both on shore and at sea. The Principal and Chief Instructors, Yvonne and Keith Taylor are RYA Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor and MCA/RYA/ISAF Sea Survival Instructors with offshore sailing experience, both racing and cruising. Instructors' medical qualifactions include Paramedic, SRN, Emergency Medical Technician, Graduate of the Ambulance Service Institute, and Offshore Medical First Aid trainers and assessors. 

Our training associates are Haven Ambulance Service; academypowersail.biz for RYA practical and theory courses including Short Range Radio; yachtcom.co.uk for the Electronics and Long Range Radio course; marineradio.co.uk also for the LRC-  Radio course; and challengetraining.co.uk for business related training to corporate, public and private groups. We work with Ocean Safety Ltd for safety equipment supply.

 
Training and safety equipment supply is for both the commercial and leisure seaman. All MCA STCW95 first aid and medical training, MCA, RYA and ISAF sea survival, and other RYA courses are run in the Southampton afor the marinrea. MCA STCW95 first aid and medical courses can also be arranged at on site approved training rooms.  First Aid at Work courses are based on the latest Health and Safety Executive guidance and are run at our training rooms or on site.

 'On site' courses can be specially suited to fulfill the needs of specific customers.
